Everyone talks about the weather, but no one ever does anything about it!

Smart Irrigation Controllers

Smart controllers take into account actual past and forecasted future precipitation, as well as the season, to decide how much water to apply to each zone, if any. If there has been plenty of water in the last couple of days, tomorrow’s scheduled run might be skipped. Likewise, if there is a high probability of significant rain tomorrow, the run might be skipped. To operate best, the controller needs to be linked to a weather station that’s pretty close to your property. See the weather stations locator for more information.

Below is an example of a good smart controller – the Rachio 3 Professional. For Landings Residents, we have made a bulk purchase, and these are available at a steep discount at the TLA office or the Landings Harbor Marina store.
