What’s the connection between precipitation, wind and waves, shallow well vs deep well withdrawals, salinity of our wells and the state of our landscaping? And what can we do to protect our water sources (aquifers) from overexploitation. On our island, all drinking (potable) water comes from the Floridan Aquifer, whereas water for irrigation can come from individual shallow wells OR from the drinking water supply – i.e. “the tap”.
